You may gather here, I am particularly drawn to the type of lines that stimulate ideas – verse that causes people to reflect on all aspects of life, primarily their own. The daily portions of all our lives are vital, so I like to highlight tiny pieces of our experience.
Ultimately, the beginnings and ends of all our stories are similar. It is that glimmer in the middle that matters. It is a writer’s fortune to capture life in meaningful phrases – that kindle minds and set hearts aglow.
It is always suggested that a biographical sketch of an author should be in third person, though it is typically the author who writes it. Well, I have always found that to be a little strange. So, if I may, allow me to write in a common fashion concerning myself. I will make this brief because this presentation is not designed to be about yours truly, as far as I am concerned. This is a canvas for our thoughts.
I grew up within the ranching community in Texas and spent all of my life, except for travel, in this great state of vastness, wild beauty and such absolutely independent mindsets. I 
have journeyed to so many very beautiful places, but – I have forever made speedy tracks back to Texas on my fastest horse.
Most of my early years were spent in trucks, tractors and the big combines baling and bucking hay. I made time for little league baseball, soon it was all football (all-district linebacker). In a few years, I finished a set of undergraduate, graduate, then later, post-graduate degree successes that included most of my advanced studies in behavioral science and the history of philosophical thought.
Now, I am simply not at all interested in tacking those educational credentials after my name, so I refrain from doing that. Here, I would like to show respect to my grandfather, Walter Stephen, whose blood heritage was half Cherokee. I love him so.

Well, I have written verse all my life. I have kept them in my notebooks. Time spent on education, adventures and vocations have kept me from the lengthy process of organizing and publishing.
